I am Micheal Mackinnon, an award-winning freelance post production sound mixer/editor based in the Outer Hebrides. With over thirty years in the business, I have extensive experience across film and television, from feature films to TV drama – from documentary and commercials, to factual and entertainment. I

I trained at STV in the early 1990s, and cut my teeth working as a staff dubbing mixer there for 8 years. I left in 1998 to form Savalas Studios. Over twenty five years – and hundreds of hours of film and television later – I’ve returned to my native island of Barra, where I work freelance in my own studio. I’m able to collaborate remotely, using Zoom, or I can travel to your location.
